FELLOWSHIP IN ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY

Overview:
Throughout the duration of the one-year training program, fellows specializing in echocardiography will acquire a high level of proficiency in imaging a diverse range of cardiovascular diseases. This includes but is not limited to cardiomyopathies, advanced heart failure necessitating sophisticated therapies such as left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) and other forms of left ventricular support, cardiac transplantation, congenital heart disease, complex cardiothoracic surgical cases, and valvular heart disease.

Fellows will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with intra-procedural echocardiography as they participate in rotations through the cardiac catheterization laboratory and collaborate with the structural imaging team.

COURSE MODULES

  1. BASICS OF  ECHOCARDIOGRAM
Basics of Echocardiogram” is a specialized program designed for healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, sonographers, and clinicians, who want to acquire a solid foundation in the principles and techniques of echocardiography. This comprehensive fellowship covers the fundamental aspects of performing and interpreting echocardiograms, a crucial diagnostic tool in the field of cardiology. will receive in-depth training in echocardiographic imaging, including cardiac anatomy, imaging modalities, and the principles of Doppler and 2D/3D echocardiography. Practical hands-on experience and exposure to real clinical cases are integral parts of the program, enabling learners to gain confidence in performing and interpreting echocardiograms. Upon completing this fellowship, healthcare professionals will be well-prepared to proficiently use echocardiography as a diagnostic and monitoring tool, contributing to better patient care and cardiovascular health.
  2. ECHO IN COMMON PRACTICE
Echocardiography in Common Practice” is a specialized program tailored for healthcare professionals, particularly cardiologists, sonographers, and medical practitioners, who wish to gain comprehensive expertise in the practical application of echocardiography within everyday clinical settings.
The program offers hands-on experience, allowing learners to master the skills necessary for accurate image acquisition, interpretation, and reporting of echocardiograms. By the end of the fellowship, participants will be well-equipped to confidently use echocardiography as a diagnostic and monitoring tool in their daily clinical practice, contributing to improved patient care, precise diagnoses, and comprehensive management of cardiovascular health. This program plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of cardiovascular care by ensuring that echocardiography is effectively integrated into common medical practice.
  3. ECHO IN SPECIAL SITUATIONS AND RECENT ADVANCES IN ECHO
Echocardiography in Special Situations and Recent Advances in Echo” is a specialized program designed for healthcare professionals, particularly cardiologists and sonographers, looking to expand their knowledge and expertise in echocardiography beyond the basics. This comprehensive fellowship focuses on utilizing echocardiography in unique clinical scenarios and incorporating the latest advancements in echocardiographic technology and techniques.
Participants in this program will delve into the intricacies of echocardiography for specialized situations, such as evaluating patients with complex cardiac conditions or those undergoing cardiac interventions. The fellowship also explores recent innovations and breakthroughs in echocardiography, including 3D imaging, strain imaging, and emerging applications.
  4. ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY IN MYOCARDIAL, PERICARDIAL, AORTIC AND SYSTEMIC DISORDERS & NON-CARDIAC DIAGNOSIS
The Fellowship in “Echocardiography in Myocardial, Pericardial, Aortic, and Systemic Disorders, and Non-Cardiac Diagnosis” is an advanced program tailored for healthcare professionals, particularly cardiologists and sonographers, who wish to gain specialized expertise in echocardiography for the diagnosis and management of complex cardiac and non-cardiac conditions.
Furthermore, the program expands its scope to include the use of echocardiography in diagnosing non-cardiac conditions, such as respiratory and pleural diseases, allowing healthcare professionals to employ this versatile diagnostic tool for a broader range of patient evaluations.
Through a combination of didactic learning, practical training, and real-world case studies, participants will gain the skills and knowledge needed to make accurate and precise diagnoses in complex clinical scenarios. This fellowship equips healthcare professionals with the ability to provide comprehensive care, contributing to better patient outcomes in both cardiac and non-cardiac domains, and making a significant impact on the quality of healthcare delivery.
