Rheumatology is a branch of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. It is a subspecialty in internal medicine and paediatrics that deals with the joints, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases and heritable connective tissue disorders. A rheumatologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and therapy of the rheumatic diseases.
 
Training program in Musculoskeletal Diseases is designed for those doctors who wish to diagnose and manage patient with Rheumatologic Ailments. After completion of this program doctors will have sufficient insights to run Rheumatology clinic independently.
 
SKILLS ACQUIRED AFTER THE COURSE

·       Diagnosis (detection) and treatment of the diseases

·       Treatment of diseases that affect the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, and tendons. These diseases can cause pain, swelling, stiffness, and potentially cause joint deformities

·       Treatment of “systemic autoimmune diseases” like rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren’s disease, scleroderma, polymyositis, and vasculitis, inflammation in areas of the body causing problems such as pain, swelling, and organ damage
