This Emergency Medicine course provides a foundation of theoretical knowledge needed before starting for an Emergency Medicine rotation for clinically-prepared medical students, residents, or practicing physicians. This training program in managing Medical Emergencies is designed for those doctors who wish to pursue their career as Emergency Specialist and can manage all medical emergencies effectively.

General Issues - Introduction, Critical Appraisal: General Issues in Emergency, Medicine Continuing Education, Medication Adherence, Emergency Department Triage, Emergency Department Overcrowding 

 

> Module 2

Respiratory Emergency Management of Asthma Exacerbations, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Exacerbations, Diagnosis and Treatment of Community-Acquired Pneumonia, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Pulmonary Embolism, Prevention and Treatment of Influenza, Anaphylaxis,

 

> Module 3

Cardiology - Chest Pain, Acute Coronary Syndromes, Acute Myocardial Infarction, Acute Decompensate Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation, Ventricular and Supraventricular Arrhythmias, Cardiac Arrest

 

> Module 4

General Medical Conditions- Severe Sepsis and Septic Shock, Delirium, Caring for the Elderly, Syncope, General

 

Clinical rotations/ training/ observership

1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 months

 

# there will be an exam on final day which will include VIDEOS AND IMAGES for diagnosis, which has be done in the class and need to be submitted the same day.

# after the exam, Q&A session will be conducted for doubt clearances
